Al O’Bannon – Managing Partner

Education: Hamilton Business College – Business Management Degree
Experience:
As Managing Partner of Kumani Technologies, LLC I have effectively developed and continue to cultivate relationships between local, state, and national communities as well as with community and faith based organizations, schools and local businesses. At the same time I maintain a high level of personal involvement with local and state outreach programs. The ultimate goal of these relationships is to create partnerships for Kumani’s “Green Job” Training Curriculum, which is a comprehensive training program for renewable energy. Our program focuses primarily on photovoltaic, but also includes wind, geo-thermal and construction training modules.

Prior to coming on board with Kumani Technologies, LLC I was the New Business Development and Customer Relations Director for Big Pond Technologies in Cedar Rapids, Ia. Through this position I developed global networking partners as well as created and implemented American culture training and communication skills training for employees located in other countries. I planned, developed and evaluated marketing programs and publications.

In 2002 I served as the Vice President of Business Development for Advance Innovative Marketing in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. I created, sold and managed the fundraising programs for Oakland University and Historical Black Colleges while fostering positive relations with the respective leaderships of each college.

In 2000 I served as the Vice President of Call Center Operations and Business Development in Montego Bay, Jamaica. My duties included the recruitment, training and assisting in start-up operations of 500 employees for a customer call center. During this time I created and implemented a communication and skills program that was comprised of sales materials, call scripts and training in effective communication. I also formed, implemented and managed the necessary systems and standards for recruiting, hiring and training in order to maintain a high standard in operating procedures.

Through my professional experience I have deomonstr4ated strong organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively I n a variety of medium s as well as leadership in business innovation. In my role at Kumani Technologies I have applied these highly developed skill sets to create and present our program and gain the support of various groups to ensure our success as a business.


Jamie McAllister – Director of Sales & Marketing

Experience:
As an entrepreneur with over twenty years direct experience in sales and customer relationship building I am highly adept at all functions in the sales and marketing flow from identifying a client’s need and developing products to meet them to designing and implementing marketing plans to successfully create interest and effectively sell those products to the market place. I have over fifteen years of experience in training and motivating employees in a wide range of products. My ability to affect enthusiasm for any product I am working with allows me to build that same enthusiasm in my trainees and direct reports, ensuring maximum productivity.

In addition, as an entrepreneur I have developed and implemented a “Client for Life” system which ensures that all client interactions are executed at the highest level of service to ensure that client becomes not only a satisfied customer, but also becomes an immediate and long lasting referral source for future clients. I have had three separate opportunities for a highly successful company to create an inside sales environment by hiring and developing sales representatives, supervisors and trainers in order to launch new products with a qualified sales force.

As the Director of Sales and Marketing at Kumani Tech., LLC. I am able to draw on extensive experience to ensure that Kumani is highly innovative in its development of sales strategies and marketing plans. My highly developed training background in the sales environment also allows me to ensure our training programs are of the highest quality with maximum efficiency.


James Trujillo – Project Manager and Consultant

Experience:
I have a strong, well-rounded construction and design background, both in commercial and in residential projects. My practical field experience coupled with my structural drafting background and 3D conceptual design/presentation skills are my most valuable assets. I am proficient in all phases of construction and maintain a great working relationship with architects, engineers, stakeholders and owners on the projects I have been a part of in the past.


Paul Hopkins – Director of Training

Education:

  • Forklift/Scissor/Boom Life Operator
  • OSHA 30 Hr
  • First Aide/CPR Certification

Experience:
I have designed over 300+ photovoltaic systems ranging from 2,000 watts up to 1,000,000 watts. In addition to system design I have experience installing and managing systems. I have managed multiple project managers, rebate managers and master electricians.
