ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of 5 years of mechanical/construction supervisory experience. Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
2. Experience in quality management / quality control processes. Wind Turbine Assembly experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
4. Driver’s License required.
5. Ability to spend 100% of time at the wind farms during the erection and commissioning process.
6. Ability to manage personnel.
7. Ability to interface with the client.
8. Ability to manage contractors, sub-contractors and the public.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage several activities at once, to organize / prioritize work, to meet deadlines and to prepare reports.
10. WTG on-site assembly experience preferred.
11. 80% to 90% travel required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline. Equivalent related work experience accepted.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Responsible for the everyday activities at the Wind Farm during the erection and commissioning phase.
2. Manage and coordinate all the activities during the erection and commissioning of the WTG from beginning to “Take Over Certification”.
3. Coordinate the mobilization of all heavy equipment on site. Cranes, erection (mechanical and electric) equipment and transportation equipment.
4. Organization and tracking of all the quality control and transportation documents.
5. Interaction with client during wind farm construction.
6. Ensure the project schedule is followed according to plan.
7. Weekly meetings with all subcontractors involved in the construction of wind farm.
8. Ensure that the contractor and subcontractors follow the required standards for the WTG on-site assembly and commissioning.
9. Coordinate with Project Manager and implement solutions to the encountered problems during the WTG on-site assembly and commissioning.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/construction environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
