| Wind Farm Erection/Commissioning Assistant Manager |

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical/construction supervisory experience. Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
- Experience in quality management / quality control processes. Wind Turbine Assembly experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Driver’s License required.
- Ability to spend 100% of time at the wind farms during the erection and commissioning process.
- Ability to manage personnel.
- Ability to interface with the client.
- Ability to manage contractors, sub-contractors and the public.
- Demonstrated ability to manage several activities at once, to organize / prioritize work, to meet deadlines and to prepare reports.
- WTG on-site assembly experience preferred.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline. Equivalent related work experience accepted.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist with the everyday activities at the Wind Farm during the erection and commissioning phase.
- Provide assistance to the Erection and Commissioning Manager coordinating all the activities during the erection and commissioning of the WTG from beginning to “Take Over Certification”.
- Assist with the Coordination of the mobilization of all heavy equipment on site. Cranes, erection (mechanical and electric) equipment and transportation equipment.
- Help organize and track all the quality control and transportation documents.
- Interaction with client during wind farm construction.
- Help the Erection and Commissioning Manager to ensure that the contractor and subcontractors follow the required standards Windpower for the WTG on-site assembly and commissioning.
- Coordinate with Erection and Commissioning Site manager and implement solutions to the encountered problems during the WTG on-site assembly and commissioning.
- Reports to the Erection and Commissioning Manager.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/construction environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
