ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of 3 years of mechanical/construction supervisory experience. Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
2. Experience in quality management / quality control processes. Wind Turbine Assembly experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
4. Driver’s License required.
5. Ability to spend 100% of time at the wind farms during the erection and commissioning process.
6. Ability to manage personnel.
7. Ability to interface with the client.
8. Ability to manage contractors, sub-contractors and the public.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage several activities at once, to organize / prioritize work, to meet deadlines and to prepare reports.
10. WTG on-site assembly experience preferred.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline. Equivalent related work experience accepted.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Assist with the everyday activities at the Wind Farm during the erection and commissioning phase.
2. Provide assistance to the Erection and Commissioning Manager coordinating all the activities during the erection and commissioning of the WTG from beginning to “Take Over Certification”.
3. Assist with the Coordination of the mobilization of all heavy equipment on site. Cranes, erection (mechanical and electric) equipment and transportation equipment.
4. Help organize and track all the quality control and transportation documents.
5. Interaction with client during wind farm construction.
6. Help the Erection and Commissioning Manager to ensure that the contractor and subcontractors follow the required standards Windpower for the WTG on-site assembly and commissioning.
7. Coordinate with Erection and Commissioning Site manager and implement solutions to the encountered problems during the WTG on-site assembly and commissioning.
8. Reports to the Erection and Commissioning Manager.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/construction environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
